2023 season review

The year of 2023 was one of the busiest of all time for memosoft at international level.
It was a long year of races around the world for the team, with many different disciplines and challenges, but a lot of fun.

All started in Szeged in Hungary with the Canoe Sprint World Cup in May, where we were given the option to work for the first time in the capital of canoe sprint. We then followed to Canoe Marathon World Cup in Ruse in Bulgaria in the first days of June.

Still in June we went to Krakow as ECA official timing and scoring provider, hired by ATOS, to do the canoe sprint European Games, a new experience and a very successful one that we hope to do again with new partnerships with ATOS in the future.

In July, we went back to Italy in Auronzo where we were already in the recent past, this time to deliver the Canoe Sprint Juniors & Under23 World Championships. As always, we were very well received there.

After one hard week with hundreds of races we head to Croatia, where we provide timing & scoring as well as tv graphics and GPS tracking system to the Marathon European Championships.

From Croatia we went directly to Montemor in Portugal to provide all IT services for the Juniors & Under 23 as well as paracanoe European Championships. During this event we were able to introduce a new concept and new tools for our sport.

Late August it was time for the Marathon Worlds in Denmark, where we provided timing & scoring as well as tv graphics, green screen and in race real data display. Denmark always feels like home. It is simple and easy to work with this OC.

Finally in November, Asia was our office for almost 2 weeks, where we deliver all Timing & scoring as well as Tv graphics and GPS for the biggest event of the season with the SUP world Championships. Races took place in a canoe sprint venue but mainly we were with our flipflops in sand and ocean for Marathon and technical races.

What a years for us, a lot of experiences, learning and above all a lot of fun, trying to setup standards in this sport we love to see grow.

We would like to thank all the organizers who have trusted in our work and gave us the opportunity to deliver once again most of the European and World events of this sport.

During 2023 there was also sometime to present some new options to the sport and to ICF. Memosoft is ready to raise the level if our sports want us to.
